Ukraine’s President Zelensky’s new exchange offer to Russia; Will Eshwarappa be sacked in the suicide case; More

On Wednesday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky proposed swapping senior pro-Russian politician Viktor Medvedchuk for male and female prisoners of war held by Moscow’s military. In his morning address, Zelensky said it was “important for our security forces and military forces to consider such a possibility.” Ukraine’s security services said on Tuesday they had arrested Medvedchuk, President Vladimir Putin’s closest and most influential ally in Ukraine.

Meanwhile, in India, the Bharatiya Janata Party’s central leadership had said they would take a decision on corruption charges against Karnataka minister Eshwarappa. The allegations of corruption against Eshwarappa gained momentum after a contractor Santosh Patil was found dead at a lodge.
