UGC Asks Colleges, Universities to Support NTA in Conducting CUET UG 2023

The UGC, in a letter to vice-chancellors dated April 3, has asked central and participating universities to prepare for conducting online exams.

The University Grants Commission has asked universities across the country to reserve their facilities for conducting the online Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses. In a letter to vice-chancellors dated April 3, the UGC asked central and participating universities to prepare for conducting online exams.

As per the UGC notification, the CUET (UG) exam will be conducted from May 21 to May 3. The university regulatory body has also reserved dates from June 1 to June 7 to conduct the exams if needed.

University Grants Commission in association with National Testing Agency conducts online computer based CUET exam for admission in various colleges and universities.

This year the exam will be conducted at 240 centers across the country.

The last date to apply for CUET (UG) 2023 was March 30. The exam center allotment list will be released on April 30, while the admit card is expected to be available in the second week of May. Admit cards can be downloaded from the official website of NTA- nta.ac.in.

CUET (UG) 2023 exam consists of objective type multiple choice questions. The exam is conducted in 13 languages. Syllabus CUET (UG) 2023 is divided into 3 sections. Primary is a language based test which includes reading comprehension, literary ability and vocabulary. The second section will consist of questions from the subject chosen by the candidate. It will be based on 12th class syllabus only. The third section will consist of General Knowledge, Current Affairs and Reasoning.

Candidates are advised to carry their admit card along with self-declaration form downloaded from NTA website to the examination centre. Registered candidates will also have to carry one additional photograph and one valid photo identity proof.
