Memphis Depay missed a penalty in the last minute as the Netherlands drew 2-2 in a game with Poland in the Nations League on Saturday, where the hosts were trailing 2-0 at one stage.

Memphis Depay missed a penalty in the last minute as the Netherlands drew 2-2 in a game with Poland in the Nations League on Saturday, where the hosts were trailing 2-0 at one stage.

Poland defender Matty Cash was penalized for a handball as the clock struck 90 minutes.

However, Depay blasted his penalty high and wide.

The Dutch entered Saturday’s match in Rotterdam with a 100% record after a 4-1 win over Belgium and a late 2-1 win against Wales.

Poland defeated Wales 2–1 but suffered a 6–1 loss to Belgium.

After recovering from the initial pressure, the Poles opened the scoring after 18 minutes on Saturday.

Poland were 2-0 up in the second period in five minutes.

Krzysztof Piatek played a good delivery over the top to help Przemysaw Frankowski break free from the Dutch offside trap.

He selflessly squared the ball for Piotr Zielinski and tapped with a standing goal after a VAR review.

However, the Dutch came back with two goals in three minutes, with Davy Klaasen scoring from close range and Denzel Dumfries equalizing with a Depay pass.

After Depay missed a penalty, he had the opportunity to improve quickly, but goalkeeper Lukasz Skorpski made a sensational stoppage-time save.
