Search is on for both the victims, but despite efforts, they have not been traced so far.

Two people were washed away in rain-filled reservoirs in separate incidents in Bhiwandi taluka of Maharashtra’s Thane district. Officials gave this information on Saturday.

The first incident happened on Thursday night, when 35-year-old Pintya Pandrinath Jadhav, a resident of Padgha in taluka, had gone fishing near a flood stream. A fire brigade official said that during this he fell into the water and got washed away. He said a search was made for him, but he could not be traced.

In another incident, 19-year-old Asif Ansari, who had gone to swim in the Kamavari river on Friday, was washed away. Another official said that even after all the efforts, he has not been found.
