Puducherry : Puducherry Police have arrested two people who robbed a woman and her mother by tying 36 gold jewelery and 19 thousand rupees in cash. The police arrested the accused Ayyanar of Laspet and Avinesh of Kottakuppan within three hours of the incident. Villupuram district of Tamil NaduThey also recovered stolen jewelery and cash.

Prema had bought 36 sovereign gold ornaments for her wedding to be held on August 20 and kept them in a safe. The robbers managed to recover the jewelery and cash of Rs 19,000 and fled. After much effort, Prema rescued herself and called her cousin on mobile for help.
She lodged a complaint with Lawspet police. He gave a clue that one of the masked men looked like a young man who had learned typewriting from his mother’s institute. The police nabbed him and his associate. He confessed to robbing the women of their valuables and cash. The recovered jewelery and cash were handed over to Prema.
