2 killed, 3 injured after being hit by a truck in UP’s Shahjahanpur.
Two people were killed and three others were injured when they were crushed by a speeding truck waiting for a bus here on Saturday, police said on Sunday.
Superintendent of Police (Rural) Sanjeev Bajpai said the incident took place late Saturday night at Allahganj bus stand.
Jalaluddin (27) and Nizamuddin (24) died in the accident, the SP said, adding that the bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
He said three others were seriously injured and hospitalized.
Bajpai said that the truck carrying tomatoes was going from Tamil Nadu to Bareilly.
He said the truck driver has been arrested.
