Students in the Phoenix neighborhood received a special farewell Thursday — the last day of school in Baltimore County — from some of the fathers working hard to make the school year fun. The last day of school is always exciting—but for some students at Jacksonville Elementary School, the bus stop has been fun all year, thanks to two dads who call themselves “Bus Stop Pops.” Adam Clement and Nick Jones met after a friendship and an idea was born when their girls started kindergarten this year. They surprise the kids by wearing different outfits every week.” Clement said, “We’re just two dads and our kids have a little too much time to laugh.” Turns off the street and passes us by. That, and the elf on the shelf,” Jones said. “The water balloon thing, with the pie in the face, I like the best part of the pie,” said one student, Emilia Hull, “I think it’s great.” Is. We didn’t know what to think at first, but I think it turned into something really special for the kids,” said Brooke Clement, Clement’s wife. Kate Jones, Jones’ wife, said, “We may never know. What they’re going to do, but with every week, they’re always on top.” The kids boarded the bus for the last time on Thursday. “We’re just two dads and there’s little time that makes our kids want to laugh,” Clement said. “Our bus actually picks up our kids, goes to the street and passes us. So, we usually just sit there and shake hands.”
“We were having fun one day when they came back and said, ‘Hey, wouldn’t it be funny if we were in some kind of silly costume for the kids?’ Jones said.
And, so it started with a different theme each week.

On Thursday, the kids got on the bus for the last time and headed to the cul-de-sac for a walk as Bus Stop Pops prepared their final surprise for the end of the school year.
“It’s not to the point where we’re embarrassing our kids yet, but it’ll be more fun when we start,” Jones said.
