Twitter Space recording feature now available to more users – Times of India

In October, Twitter rolled out an update that allowed hosts empty space Chat to record and share your broadcasts. With the ability to record spaces and share them across platforms, hosts are able to get more listeners for their broadcasts and listeners are also able to access recordings at their preferred times. Until now, the feature was only available to Space Host on iOS and all listeners on the iOS and Android platforms, but now the company has announced that it is expanding the feature to more users.
As per the company’s latest announcement, the option to record Space is available for some hosts on iOS and Android, but the option to listen to the recording of Space is available to all users. The company announced the update in response to a tweet in which it revealed about the feature. “Some updates on Recorded Space: The option to record Space is available for some hosts on both iOS and Android. The option to listen to a recording of Space is available to everyone on iOS, Android, and now on the web!” shared the platform.
To create space recording, the host needs to toggle on ‘record space’ before launching a new space. Upon entering the space all participants will see a recording icon indicating that the space is being recorded. Once the space runs out, hosts will have access to the full-length recording for 30 days after the initial broadcast, during which they can share it or tweet it. Listeners will have the ability to play any recorded space directly from their timeline, as well as share the recorded space on their network.
Hosts can delete Space Recordings at any time, however, Twitter will still keep a data file for a period of 30-120 days to investigate any abusive or hateful content.
