Twitter Interim Grievance Officer for India resigns amid controversy: Report

Twitter India’s interim complaints officer has quit the social media platform at a time when the company is at loggerheads with the Indian government over new IT regulations, PTI reported, citing sources.

The new IT rules, which came into force on May 25, made it mandatory for the company to have a grievance officer to address the grievances of users. As per reports, Dharmendra Chatur was recently appointed to the post.

Chatur’s name, as required under the new rules, was earlier displayed on the company’s website, but is no longer there. Now website only Displays a US address and an email ID.
