The man, identified as Vijay Kumar, was on a business trip when a 7.6 magnitude earthquake hit Turkey and its neighboring regions on February 6.

The Indian Embassy in Turkey said on Twitter, “We inform with sadness that the mortal remains of Shri Vijay Kumar, an Indian national missing in Turkey since the 6th February earthquake, have been found and identified in the rubble of a hotel in Malatya.” Has been.” where he was on a business trip.

It further said that the body has been identified by the family members of the victim. Expressing condolences to the family members, the embassy said, “Our deepest sympathies go out to his family and loved ones. We are making arrangements for his mortal remains to reach his family at the earliest.”

Vijay Kumar Goud, a resident of Uttarakhand’s Pauri district and working for a Bengaluru-based company, had gone to Turkey on official work.
