Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar Box Office Collection Day 1: A Holi release, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar has performed well on its opening day and has collected around 14 crores nett. People are thronging the cinema halls in large numbers to watch the film. Viewers are loving their latest pairing Ranbir Kapoor And Shraddha Kapoor Directed by Luv Ranjan. The romantic comedy marked the acting debut of Boney Kapoor opposite Dimple Kapadia. According to Box Office India, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar had a good opening on March 8 and coincided with the Holi holiday.

On the first day, the Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor-starrer earned around Rs 14 crore in India. On Wednesday, March 8, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar had an overall Hindi occupancy of 22.42 percent. Box Office India reported, “Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar has done well on Day 1 with ₹14 crore nett mark. The film gets a boost from Holi.” In many states but in some states it has also lost some business due to Holi a day earlier. The film’s collections would have gone towards 16 cr nett if it was a normal Holi which makes it look better on paper though it hardly earns any. The difference is because if the audience is with the film, then the short run is easily made up for in the long run.”
“The film has scored very well in NCR and Gujarat/Saurashtra, latter due to Holi which is like a national holiday in the circuit. Weak side in Maharashtra and there the film has to do better especially in Mumbai city and Pune where These types of films have more potential. The collections are a bit less in UP as well, but here Holi is longer, so they may be higher tomorrow,” said BOI.

His film starring Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor strikes the perfect recipe for comedy, romance, separation and family drama. The film is a love story of Mickey and Tinni who meet at their best friend’s bachelor parties. Mickey works with his friend Mannu (Anubhav Singh Bassi) to help break up couples for a hefty sum. Dimple Kapadia plays Ranbir Kapoor’s mother and is perfect as ever. She also has perfect comic timing and looks funny even as a Punjabi mother. Boney Kapoor also brings to life the character of a boring, unoriginal father who sits in front of the TV all the time.
