TS EAMCET: To secure 91,607 seats including convener quota

Hyderabad: Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET) 2021 through web counseling a total of 65,219 engineering seats in convener quota in 172 engineering colleges began on Saturday.

This year, 91,607 seats including 65,219 convener quota seats are available for admission. Of the 172 engineering colleges, 15 are universities and its constituent colleges, with a total of 3,645 convening seats. All the convener quota seats will be filled through web-based counseling of TS EAMCET 2021.

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Hyderabad (JNTU-H) has started operating its new constituent college i.e. JNTU-H College of Engineering in Rajanna Sirisila district from this year, increasing the number of seats in the universities and its constituent colleges. From 3,152 last year to 3,645 seats at present.

The new college will offer traditional courses such as civil engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science and engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, electronics and communication engineering and textile technology.

“Some professors of JNTU-H will be shifted to the new college in Rajanna-Sirisilla district and contract staff will also be hired. We will provide hostel facilities to the students in the new college,” said a JNTU-H official.

4,550 seats including 3,210 convener quota seats are available for admission in 112 pharmacy colleges of the state in B.Pharmacy course. Similarly, there are 741 Pharm D seats in 53 pharmacy colleges including 520 convener quota seats.

The last date for payment of processing fee and slot book for certificate verification has been extended till September 13. After certificate verification, students can exercise their choice of web options for allotment of seats and colleges till 16 September.

Naveen Mittal, Commissioner of Technical Education and TS EAMCET Admissions Coordinator said that the candidates will have to use more and more web options to get allotment in better colleges and courses.
