Truck collided with five vehicles near Navale bridge, 2 injured. Pune News – Times of India

Pune: Two women were injured when a speeding truck collided with two scooters, two tempos and an SUV on the service lane of Katraj-Dehu road bypass on Saturday afternoon.
Devidas Ghevre, senior police inspector of Sinhagad Road police station, said, “Two women scooter riders suffered injuries in the accident.”
Police said the truck was on its way from Satara to Mumbai. After crossing the Bhumkar Chowk bridge, the driver lost control of the vehicle, which rammed into the railing of the Navale bridge and entered the service lane.
Police said the driver tried to return to the bypass when his vehicle collided with the scooter, who was riding on the wrong side. “The truck then hit two tempos and an SUV,” Ghevre said.
“Both the women were taken to a nearby hospital, where they were treated and discharged,” he said.
The incident disrupted vehicular movement on the service lane for an hour. Police said that no complaint had been registered in this regard till the time of writing this news.
