Tripura Municipal Elections: PM Modi praised BJP’s victory, said- people give preference to the politics of good governance

Appreciating BJP’s big victory in Tripura local body elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi Said on Sunday that the people of the state have given a clear message that they give priority to the politics of good governance. Modi tweeted, “These blessings give us more strength to work for the welfare of every individual in Tripura.” He said, “I would like to appreciate @BJP4Tripura workers who worked tirelessly on the ground and served the people. Under the leadership of Shri Biplab Deb ji, the state government has been at the forefront of many initiatives, which have been duly blessed by the people. ” said.

The ruling BJP on Sunday swept the civic polls in Tripura, winning all the seats in the 51-member Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) and several other urban local bodies. The opposition TMC and CPI(M) failed to open their account with the AMC.

State Election Commission officials said that the saffron party has secured all the wards of the 15-member Khowai Nagar Parishad, the 17-member Belonia Nagar Parishad, the 15-member Kumarghat Nagar Parishad and the nine-member Sabroom Nagar Panchayat.
