Tripura Election 2023: Full Party-Wise List of BJP, Trinamool, CPIM-Congress Candidates and Their Constituencies

Tripura is set to vote in a high-decibel election tomorrow, with top leaders like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President JP Nadda, former chief minister Manik Sarkar, Tipra Motha chief Pradyot Bikram Manikya Deb Barma contesting the polls. The BJP is contesting on 55 assembly seats, its ally IPFT has fielded candidates on six seats, while one seat will see a friendly contest. CPI(M) is contesting on 47 seats and Congress is contesting on 13 seats. Trinamool Congress has fielded candidates on 28 seats and there are also 58 independent candidates. The ruling BJP has fielded the maximum number of 12 women candidates. Tipra Motha is contesting on 42 seats. On February 16, 28.13 lakh voters are eligible to exercise their franchise.

While the BJP-IPFT alliance is seeking to retain power in the state, the Left-Congress alliance will aim to oust the BJP to regain power. The BJP came to power in the state in 2018 after ending the 25-year-long rule of the Left Front. However, the newly formed Tipra Motha under the leadership of Barma may play a major role as it is likely to affect the contest on around 20-25 seats.
