Trinamool’s victory in Goa, once a big supporter of Mamata’s ‘rival’

Nafisa Ali, once a rival of Mamata Banerjee, welcomed the decision of the Trinamool Congress to contest the elections in Goa. According to him, Mamta is the only face of the anti-Modi movement. Nafisa once fought against Mamata as a Congress candidate.

Nafisa had met Trinamool MP Derek O’Brien last Saturday. Although the meeting between these two was described as a courtesy, but it is clear from Nafisa’s statement that she is naturally happy with Trinamool’s decision to contest in Goa. In his words, ‘I am happy that Mamata Banerjee’s party Trinamool has decided to contest elections in Goa. Goa’s development needs special emphasis. It’s a special right of the people here

Photos of Derek and Brian meeting Nafisa have been posted on Facebook. After this Facebook post, there is a lot of speculation in the political arena, so is Nafisa coming to the ground level? Neither Nafisa nor Derek made a statement on the grassroots involvement. In this context, Trinamool’s Rajya Sabha MP said, “Trinamool is in touch with different cultural people in Goa. Now let’s see who comes. But there are surprises.’ Let us inform that Trinamool is contesting elections in Goa next year. Trinamool MP Derek O’Brien is in charge of the state. The former Chief Minister of Goa has already been involved at the grassroots level. Apart from this, Trinamool is also using Team PK to sort out the political strategy in Goa.

Another big identity of Nafisa is singer Lucky Ali’s friend Nafisa. Nafisa and Lucky agree that the grassroots government in West Bengal is working for development. Significantly, Kolkata has been in touch with Nafisa for a long time. He was born and brought up in Calcutta. He studied at La Martiniere School. Although he did not come to Calcutta for long, he remained associated with the political world. Nafisa lost to Mamata Banerjee at the South Kolkata center in 2004. He also appealed to Mamata to return to the Congress at some point after the defeat.
