Transport Minister Amarinder Singh Raja Vading, who has claimed action against the private bus mafia, has been embroiled in controversies. First the Punjab and Haryana High Court gave a setback to the minister. Now Akali leader Hardeep Singh Dimpy Dhillon said that the minister did not leave our entire buses even after the order of the HC.

The Secretary of the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) of Bathinda, Faridkot, Ferozepur, Gurdaspur and Amritsar is under pressure from the Minister, so he is not leaving the buses. If their buses are not released, then they will file a petition of conflict of court in the High Court.

Advocate General had to come to save the respect of the government

In Chandigarh, Akali leader Hardeep Singh Dimpy Dhillon said that Transport Minister Amarinder Singh Raja Vading canceled 87 of our permits bypassing all the laws. The government was badly reprimanded in the High Court. Even Advocate General DS Patwalia had to come to save the honor of the government. Despite this, the arguments of the government in the action of political vendetta did not stand in the court. The High Court told the minister’s order to be wrong and asked to leave the buses immediately after restoring all the permits.

Orders arrived at 11 am, some buses left at 11 pm
Dimpy Dhillon said that we got orders from HC at 11 am on Monday. After this we met the RTA secretary of the districts where the buses have been stopped. We paid full tax. Took NOC too but under the pressure of the minister, the RTA secretary kept making excuses. Then only 24 buses out of 72 left in the night. For the rest, the secretary is saying that the minister has refused.

Like us, the permits of 600 buses expire.
Dimpy Dhillon said that the rest of our buses are not being released saying that the permit has expired. Permits of 600 buses have expired across Punjab. We have permits that are 20 to 30 years old. There is a permit fee to be paid for renewal. Now the RTA has to renew them, so what is our fault in this. Rest of the buses are also tax defaulters, yet no action has been taken against them.

Raja Vading ‘Uncompetent Minister’
The Akali leader said that Raja Vading is an ‘uncompetitive minister’ who is making the entire government jealous. He said that if Vading has to contest the election against him, then he should come directly to the election fray. Do not take away the employment of their employees by destroying their business in this way.
