Railway Police ASI Gurdev Singh mentioned that all railway crossings along the route were quickly closed for road traffic, and different mechanical techniques were utilized to slow down the train. He also noted that officials from the Ferozepur railway division were on their way to investigate the incident.

Media reports attributed the train’s movement to the natural downward slope towards Pathankot in Punjab. Additionally, the divisional traffic manager of Jammu confirmed the initiation of an investigation into the incident.

Several users shared footage of the train after it was stopped near Uchi Bassi on social media. Fortunately, there were no immediate reports of injuries or casualties.
