Sharib Hashmi, who is known for his role in Raj & DK’s The Family Man, will be seen in the bilingual Hindi and Marathi film Malhar. It is written and directed by Vishal Kumbhar. It stars Sharib Hashmi, Rishi Saxena, Anhali Patil, Akshata Acharya, Shrinivas Pokhala, and Shruti Gholap in the lead roles. It is produced by PB Prasad. Malhar is a compilation of three interconnected stories set in the same rural village of Kutch. The first narrative follows the journey of two best friends, who are struggling to repair a run-down hearing aid. The second story involves the interreligious love between a Hindu boy and a Muslim girl, and their challenges in pursuing love. The third story is expected to revolve around the infidelity of a newly married woman in a prestigious family.

In the trailer, Sharib Hashmi plays the role of a travel guide, who calls the village his family. It starts with a conversation between two school students. It then forays into the love between the Muslim boy and girl. It ends with an impactful dialogue by Sharib Hashmi.

While talking about the movie, director Vishal Kumbhar said in an interview that this is a story of three different age groups. The feelings of innocence, confusion and trust in the relationship will be explored in this film. “Malhar is a family film and we have tried to show how relationships come together and how their journey blossoms in a very interesting way. As this film is based on the simplicity of the rural areas,” said Vishal Kumbar. He claims that the film will be loved by the audience after getting a positive response from the trailer. He calls this film “a dream come true moment” for him.
