Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyder Unveiled, India’s First Hybrid Mid-SUV

Toyota has officially announced its entry into the C-SUV segment of the Indian market with the unveiling of the urban cruiser Haider. The new SUV will be the face of the Japanese automaker, which will compete against models in the same segment, such as the Hyundai Creta, MG Hector, Jeep Compass, Tata Harrier, and other such models. In addition, the automaker is expected to establish itself in the above market.

Coming to the exterior, the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hider gets a distinctly designed front fascia that adds a modern appeal to the consumers. To add to this, it sports a sleek design at the front executed with slim LED DRLs just below the chrome garnished bumper of the SUV. Also, the bumper sports headlamps with a slightly different design as compared to other Toyota cars. This design scheme continues to the rear end, with slim tail lamps accented by the company’s emblem in the center.

Being a new car, the interiors of the Toyota Urban Cruiser Header offer ‘newness’ and comfort, which can be had with a soft touch interior and Toyota insignia on the steering wheel. The new SUV comes with a host of features like 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, vehicle stability control, automatic climate control, 9-inch infotainment touch screen, wireless charger and Toyota iConnect 55 plus features and more.

With a hybrid powertrain, the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hider differentiates itself from its rivals. The Hyryder comes with 1.5L TNGA NA engine with self-charging hybrid technology and 1.5-litre K-series engine options. Apart from this, the SUV offers various drive modes.
