With the arrival of spring season, the number of tourists visiting Kashmir is also increasing. The famous Badamwari Udyan (Almond Garden) of Srinagar has been opened for tourists and has become a center of attraction for local and non-local tourists.

These days flowers are seen everywhere in the historic Badamwari Garden in the heart of Srinagar. This is not a common flower but the first blooming almond in spring. These flowers bloom in late March, but this time due to climate change they have to bloom two weeks earlier.

The first visit to Kashmir turned out to be a memorable one for a tourist from Hyderabad who visited the Badamwari Gardens for the first time.

Another tourist Hardik said, “Kashmir is an all-weather paradise, but we did not know about this flower, it is very attractive and we hope to see tulips soon.”

The blossoming of almond and apricot flowers in Kashmir means that the three months of severe winter is over and spring has arrived. Not only the tourists but also the residents are enjoying the early spring.

The tourism department has also prepared itself for the boom season as they have seen winter tourism at its best after decades. GN Itoo, Director, Kashmir Tourism, said, “We are planning activities and destination for the spring season and earlier it was limited to Tulip Gardens, but now we have focused on organizing exciting events, and this is the season of spring. will expand.”
