Group Captain Varun Singh, who was injured in a military helicopter crash on 8 December, succumbed to his injuries. The lone survivor of the helicopter crash in Coonoor, Tamil Nadu in which Chief of Staff General Bipin Rawat, his wife Madhulika Rawat and 11 other armed personnel were killed.
