Tokyo Olympics 2020: There will be 80,000 Kovid tests every day, no entry without negative report

Tokyo Olympics 2020: The Olympic Games will be held in Tokyo from 23 July. The organizers of the Olympic Games have taken tough decisions to deal with the threat of corona virus. In view of the importance of the Olympic Games, 80,000 corona virus tests will be done every day. Entry to the event without negative report has also been banned.

The Olympic Games will be attended by 11,500 athletes, approximately 79,000 administrators, support staff and media persons. Every person participating in the Olympic Games will be tested daily to prevent corona virus infection. The organizing committee of the Olympic Games 2020 has arranged for 230 doctors and 310 nurses to monitor and conduct these tests. No player or staff member will be allowed to attend the event without a COVID-19 negative test report.

The organizing committee of the Olympic Games informed on Saturday that 15,000 people entered Japan between July 1 and July 15. Of these, 15 people have tested positive for corona. For security, 44,000 people have been deployed at the Olympic Games.

Kovid cases surfaced in Olympic Village

The first case of coronavirus was reported in the sports village on Friday ahead of the Olympic Games. IOC President Thomas Bach, however, assured that the people participating in the Olympic Games were not in danger as of now and that the whole situation was under control.

“From July 1 to July 16, about 15,000 athletes, officials, support staff and accredited media persons have arrived in Tokyo. Everyone was tested on arrival. Only 15 out of 15,000 were found positive. This is a very low rate,” Bach said. People who tested positive have been put in isolation. They do not pose any threat to the Olympic participants and the people of Japan.

The Tokyo Olympics are to be held from 23 July to 8 August. The Paralympic Games will be held in Japan after the Olympic Games.
