To motivate you to use WhatsApp Pay, WhatsApp is offering Rs 35 cashback on 3 payments

Meta-owned instant messaging app WhatsApp has had a payment option for a while now. However, the feature hasn’t gained much users despite WhatsApp’s nearly 2 billion user base.

To change this, the company is now offering users a cashback of Rs 35 with their first payment using WhatsApp’s payment service. Users can redeem this cashback reward up to three times by sending money to three different contacts. However, to access WhatsApp Cashback, users need to fulfill certain eligibility criteria and the offer will be available at different times for different users. Once the cashback is available to you, it will be for a limited time only.

Once this feature becomes available to you, you can send money to any WhatsApp contact and get Rs 35 as cashback for successful transaction. Users can send any amount to their contacts to avail cashback. There is no minimum amount for this, and users can get maximum cashback of Rs 35 by sending money to three different contacts. It needs to be noted that users will get only one cashback reward for each contact they choose to send money to.

There are certain eligibility criteria that the users need to fulfill. These include that the user must be a WhatsApp user for 30 days and must be registered for WhatsApp payments by adding your bank details. The contact you are sending money to must also be a WhatsApp user who has registered for payments on WhatsApp in India. Also, users need to be on the latest version of WhatsApp.

how to send money via whatsapp payment

To send money to your contacts, first open WhatsApp and tap more options , payment , send new payment,

Then, tap on the contact you want to send money to. Next, if they have registered with WhatsApp Pay, you will see a gift icon next to their name. If you don’t see a gift icon next to the contact’s name, you’ll need to invite them to join Payments on WhatsApp before sending them money.

Once you have found the contact, enter the amount you would like to Send > tap next > tap send payment > Enter your UPI PIN.
