TMC to not help oppn VP candidate Margaret Alva; extra

The Trinamool Congress has determined to abstain from voting within the vice presidential elections because it doesn’t agree with the way in which the Opposition candidate was determined with out retaining the celebration within the loop. The choice was taken after West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee held a gathering with TMC MPs on Thursday.

NDA has fielded former West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar as its candidate for the vice presidential election, whereas the Opposition events have fielded former Rajasthan governor Margaret Alva.

The TMC has registered its protest as to how the joint Opposition candidate was introduced with out consulting Mamata Banerjee.

Mamata Banerjee’s private relationship with Alva is reportedly good, however she has been upset that Congress and even the NCP did not inform her earlier than saying Alva’s title.
