The TMC on Saturday released its 10-point election manifesto for the February 14 assembly elections in Goa. The manifesto, released in the coastal state’s capital Panaji, talks of a broader agenda that the Mamata Banerjee-led party can lay claim to. For “The Beginning of a New Dawn in Goa”.
Apart from promising direct benefit transfer of Rs 5,000 per month to all women under the Griha Lakshmi scheme, the manifesto focuses on establishing environmentally sustainable mining practices within 250 days of TMC forming the government – in extraction contracts and mining With 80% reservation. 1. To increase the size of Goa’s GDP to 1.8 lakh crore (from 0.71 lakh crore) with an annual per capita income of more than Rs 11 lakh; With 80% reservation, 200,000 new jobs will be created for Goans and 10,000 vacancies in the government sector will be filled in 3 years.
2. Direct benefit transfer of Rs.5,000 per month to one woman of each household under Griha Lakshmi; Collateral-free loan of up to Rs 20 lakh for Goa youth at 4% interest rate under Yuva Shakti, and provision of unemployment insurance for 6 months in a year for Goa youth.
3. Increase the budgetary expenditure on health and education with 2 new medical colleges, upgraded facilities in a government school and a Universal Health Card for every Goan family and road accident treatment cover to 2.75 per cent and 6% of the budget respectively.
4. 33% reservation for Goa women in all jobs, including in the private sector, 50% reservation for women in all local bodies, two fast-track courts (one in each district) to address crimes against women and children , and an SOS Suraksha mobile app for women’s safety.
5. Ownership and ownership rights of land in possession of all Goan families residing in the state before 1976 and 50,000 subsidized houses to homeless families (under Mhaje Ghar, Malki Haq), as well as loans up to Rs 10 lakh on old houses Provision for revival of Goa at concessional rates.
6. 24 x 7 public transport with dual fleet of state owned buses, 24 x 7 uninterrupted power supply, all-weather pothole-free roads as well as functional drainage system and potable water to all households – state-of-the-art sports infrastructure and training facilities in each taluka with

9. Three linear projects to be completed through MOLAME; Maintain Goa’s rights over Mhadei River waters and incorporate a comprehensive waste management and waste collection system with 100% functional sewage network.
10. Grant of up to Rs.25 lakh for conservation of heritage sites with integrated tourism centres, mobile app and 24×7 police patrolling and help desk to help tourists maintain the pluralistic harmony of Goa.
