Only BJP-led double engine government can restore Punjab’s pride: Meenakshi Lekhi

The BJP has forged an alliance with former Chief Minister Amarinder Singh-led Punjab Lok Congress and SAD (United) for the February 20 Punjab Assembly elections.

Describing the people of Punjab as hardworking, the Union Minister of State for External Affairs said that if good governance is provided, the state can move ahead on the path of progress.

Union minister Meenakshi Lekhi on Saturday said that only a BJP-led “double-engine” government can restore Punjab’s pride, adding that massive development works were carried out by the saffron party-led central government, though It is not in power in the state. Considering the people of Punjab as hardworking, the Union Minister of State for External Affairs said that the state can progress on the path of progress if given good governance.
