New Delhi: former pakistani fast bowler -Shoaib Akhtar expressed his displeasure with International Cricket Council(ICC) promotional video for the 2023 Cricket World Cup, which will be held in India from October to November.

ICC’s star-studded promotional video
The video features several cricketers including Jemimah Rodrigues, Dinesh Karthik and Shubman Gill. It also features guest appearances by World Cup 2019 winning England team captain Eoin Morgan, South African Jonty Rhodes, Sri Lankan spin wizard Muttiah Muralitharan and many other cricket legends.
The video captures iconic moments in World Cup history, showing the national colors and waving flags of all ten participating teams. Number one batsman in the world and captain of the Pakistan cricket team Babar Azam The promotional video was not featured, while fast bowler Shaheen Afridi was featured. Photos of previous World Cup winning teams were also included, but Pakistan’s 1992 victory was not featured in the ICC promotional video.
Akhtar takes to Twitter
The 47-year-old fast bowler tweeted, “Who thought the World Cup promo would be complete without Pakistan and Babar AzamThe critical presence of has actually presented itself as a bit of a joke. Come on guys, it’s time to grow up.”
The ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 will be hosted by India in the October-November window. Cricket’s biggest tournament is returning to India after 12 years. A total of ten people will participate in this prestigious event.
Whoever thought a World Cup promo would be complete without the crucial appearance of Pakistan and Babar Azam has really got himself a joke.
