Tillu Tajpuria Murder: Two days after gangster Tillu Tajpuria was killed in Tihar Jail, CCTV footage of the gruesome incident has surfaced in which he can be seen being brutally attacked by other inmates in the prison. The 2.49 minute video shows a group of prisoners brutally attacking Tajpuria with knives and iron grills.

According to the footage, the gangster was attacked at least 92 times and was found with injury marks on his head, chest and back. The footage has also raised serious questions on the security of Tihar as no guard was seen during the operation which took place inside the jail premises.

The preliminary report of the postmortem said that more than two dozen injury marks were found on Tajpuria’s head. Earlier on May 2, prison officials had said that Tajpuria was allegedly murdered by members of a rival gang in Tihar Jail. He further said that the gangster was immediately taken to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital in Delhi, where he was declared brought dead.

Tillu Tajpuria attacked by rival gang members

Police said a prisoner named Yogesh Tunda, lodged in Jail No. 8, and other members of the rival gang attacked Tajpuria with an iron grill. “Yogesh alias Tunda and Deepak alias Teetar attacked Tillu Tajpuria by breaking the iron grill of the ward, which separated the two gangs into a single ward,” the officer said.

According to jail officials, Deepak alias Teetar, Yogesh alias Tunda, Rajesh and Riyaz Khan were lodged in the same ward on the first floor. They attacked Tajpuria with a sharp object after allegedly cutting the iron grill installed on the first floor of the high-security ward and used a bedsheet to climb to the floor below, the official said.

Gangwar in Tihar jail

Tillu Tajpuria, accused in the 2021 Rohini Court shootout, in which gangster Jitendra Gogi was killed, was lodged on the ground floor of the highly secure Jail No.8. Jitendra Gogi is said to be very special to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.

Deepak Boxer, recently brought by the Special Cell from Mexico, takes over Jitendra Gogi’s gang. According to sources, Deepak Boxer is also lodged in Tihar Jail. This is the second gangster murder case in Tihar Jail within a month. Earlier, Prince Tewatia was killed, who was a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
