Ticket price issue: Ram Gopal Varma to discuss the matter with AP Cinematography Minister

Noted director Ram Gopal Varma, who recently engaged in a war of words with Andhra Pradesh’s Cinematography Minister Perni Nani on social media, will now meet him in person so that he gets a chance to discuss the issues being faced by the Telugu film industry. After arguing for a few days on Twitter, YouTube and other sources, Ram Gopal Varma requested the minister to arrange a meeting so that they could discuss in detail.

In a series of back-to-back tweets, Verma had criticized the AP government on GO 35, over movie ticket prices in the state. He had confronted Perni Nani, due to which their virtual argument continued for a few days on his Twitter timeline.

While the government and the minister give reasons for bringing a government order to stop exploitation of poor people in the name of entertainment, Verma opposes their argument.

Verma, who brought in several marketing theories and analyses, said Perni Nani was trying to cover up an unnecessary act of the state government.

Recently during a media interaction, Varma said that the YSRCP government is exploiting his power, especially regarding movie ticket prices. When asked about the issue, AP Cinematography Minister Perni Nani also participated in the discussion.

The interviewer said that Tollywood filmmakers and heroes are taking advantage of their craze by increasing the prices of their films. To this Verma replied, “If there is any exploitation, it is YCRCP’s way of grabbing votes from the voters of Andhra Pradesh. YS Jagan held rallies and campaigned to win 150 seats in the elections.”

Varma further added, “If election campaigns are not considered exploitation, why is it considered? Rajamouli has earned one, and hence people will stand in queues to watch his films.”

As the interview progressed, Varma made a logical argument in favor of the filmmakers, who have the right to decide the price of their film’s tickets. “You go to a 5-star hotel, and pay double for the food, ambiance and other amenities. It’s your choice. Since the hotel carries a certain brand value, it has all the right to charge as much as it thinks Will balance your business.”

“How can you ask them to offer you coffee or food for the same price as a roadside hotel. Same with cinema?” RGV informed.

“The same applies to the textile industry. A blazer you’re wearing will have a brand value. You can’t go to the seller and say the material costs only so much. There’s a value to the brand, which is called The buyer can choose with the choice,” Verma said.

Rangeela said, “If you return the blazer after using it for 3-4 days, will the seller accept it? Then if the audience doesn’t like the movies, why do cinema people expect the ticket money to be refunded? ” the director said
