Throwback: When Aishwarya Dhanush said, ‘Marriage is carrying each other’s baggage…’ – Times of India

Bow And Aishwarya recently announced her separation after 18 years of marriage, leaving her friends and fans shocked. While we are still trying to wrap our heads around the news, we dug up an old post by Aishwarya from early last year where she wrote about the institution of marriage.

Sharing a picture of her parents and her grandparents, Aishwarya wrote, ‘She adopted them as family and she looked after them till the end of her days. Through life with its every possible turn and at every turn. I’ve learned…(yet and still learning..) marriage is carrying each other’s baggage (literally too many times in my case…compassion transcends passion…friendship companionship becomes the basis of… Home is always home.. I don’t just love you but I love you.. The family we have created… Gathering the pieces of the jigsaw of life as we are two persons grow old together so that it can be given meaning on every level.. I am going to stop.. because..now.” She added, “I just wish my dearest Appa and Amma a super duper anniversary Want to give! Love beyond the moon to both of you! #happyanniversary.’

Announcing their separation, Dhanush shared a statement on his Twitter handle, which read, ’18 years of living together as friends, couple, parents and each other’s well-wishers..Journey Vikas, Understanding , adjustment and adaptation. …today we stand at a place where our paths have parted…Aishwarya and I have decided to part ways as a couple and take time to understand us as individuals for the better .
