The constables did not wear bomb suits, as suits are not required for the controlled detonation of gelatin sticks and detonators. Moreover, the intensity of the explosion in such cases is very less. ,
He said that though constable Rahul Patil was not engaged in defuse the explosives, he suffered minor injuries as he stood close to the two constables to defuse them.
