Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that a policy is being made to give cash prizes to the students who have secured high positions in class five, eight and ten examinations.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Saturday felicitated three schoolgirls who topped the Class 8 examination, the results of which were declared a day earlier.

Samarpreet Kaur, a student of a school in Ludhiana, scored 99.67 per cent, while Lovepreet Kaur and Gurankeet Kaur, studying in Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Budhlada in Mansa district, scored 100 per cent in the examination conducted by Punjab School. Education plank.

The Chief Minister said, “It is a memorable day for Punjab as these daughters of the state have excelled in the examinations with their hard work and dedication.”

Mann said that these girls would become role models for other students and motivate them to pursue education in government schools.

He said that a policy was being formulated to give monetary awards to the students who secured high positions in class V, VIII and X examinations.

Mann said that this would help in encouraging the students to excel in their studies.
