Three cases of ba.4 and ba.5 omicron sub-variants of coronavirus found in Mumbai

The health department said that a report from the laboratory of Municipal Corporation-run Kasturba Hospital confirmed the presence of BA.4 sub-variant in three patients and BA.5 sub-variant in one patient in the metropolis. Of the four patients, two of the age group were girls. 11 and two men aged 40 to 60, it said.

“All these patients have been cured under home isolation,” the department said.
