(Reuters) – Thousands of users of Meta Platforms Inc.’s Instagram reported problems with the photo-sharing application on Thursday, according to downdetector.com.
About 24,000 Instagram users were affected as of 5 p.m. ET, according to outage-tracking website DownDetector, which collates status reports from multiple sources in the United States.

Meta did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment.

After a few hours the platform was back up and running.
