‘This Is What Happened’: With a Sketch of Uddhav’s ‘Blood Back’, Sanjay Raut’s quip on Maha Sankat

Political turmoil continues in Maharashtra and hence leaders are attacking each other. Uddhav Thackeray’s man on Friday, Sanjay Raut, after the leader’s resignation as chief minister, on Thursday shared a caricature on Twitter that is believed to depict Thackeray with a slash on his back.

Uddhav had earlier said that he himself was stabbed in the back, and Raut reiterated the same on Thursday. The 61-year-old leader’s innings as chief minister came to an abrupt end on Wednesday when a senior Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde revolted against him and most of the Sena MLAs joined the rebel camp.

Despite serious appeals and other measures to bring party MLAs ‘back home’, Uddhav failed and eventually had to step down from the top post. Earlier, Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari had accepted his resignation.

Raut in his tweet today shared a depiction of a man in a white kurta representing Uddhav. The kurta, however, with three long claw marks and blood dripping, is torn at the back, a clear indication of how the rebel MLAs led by Eknath Shinde stabbed the former chief minister in the back and attacked him with the direct support of the BJP. Fasted off. ,

Uddhav had gone back from his official residence Varsha to Matoshree – his family home – after the rebel MLAs left for Surat in Gujarat and then last week gave a Facebook Live address at a five-star hole in BJP-ruled Assam. He said he was not interested in the post if his own MLAs did not want him.

While in the bad phase of Uddhav’s leadership coronavirus The pandemic came in for praise, with a section of Shiv Sena leaders complaining that he was inaccessible as party president and CM.

Many Shiv Sena leaders were also uncomfortable with the party’s alliance with arch-rivals Congress and NCP, which ultimately proved to be a ruin of the alliance.

The rebellion within the party, which many say was going on for a long time, finally came to the fore after Shinde along with several party MLAs raised the flag of rebellion. The rebellion sparked hectic political activities and last week Thackeray left his official residence and finally resigned a day before the scheduled floor test.

However, he has now made it clear that though he has vacated the chief minister’s chair, he will now meet party leaders and workers at the party’s headquarters Shiv Sena Bhawan.
