Actor Dhanush has wrapped up shooting for his next film Naane Varuven, directed by his brother Selvaraghavan. The story of Nana Varuven is pitched as an action-thriller about two look-alike people.
The film will also star Induja Ravichandran, Elli Avram and Yogi Babu. The soundtrack of Naane Varune is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The cinematography of the film is handled by Arvind Krishna, while Prasanna GK is in charge of editing.
Sharing the information, Dhanush wrote on Twitter, “And this is a wrap #Naanevaruven HE IS COMING.” He also shared a black and white photo in which he is sitting on top of a car in the mountains.
Kalaippuli S Thanu of V Creations has bankrolled the film.
Work on the film began in 2021. A major portion of Naane Varune has been shot in Ooty.
Nana Varuven marks Dhanush’s collaboration with his brother Selvaraghavan after a decade. Selvaraghavan has directed films like Thuluvadho Ilamai, Kandu Konden, Pudhupettai and Mayakkam Enna starring Dhanush. The two last worked together in the Tamil-language musical drama Mayakkam Enna, which released in 2011. The film was highly appreciated by the audience.
Meanwhile, Dhanush was last seen in Maran. The action thriller film, written and directed by Karthik Naren, was released on 11 March 2022 directly on Disney+ Hotstar.
Dhanush will also be seen in Mithran Jawahar’s Tamil romantic comedy Thiruchitrambala. The film stars Rashi Khanna as the female lead. Nithya Menon, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Prakash Raj and Bharathiraja will also be seen in lead roles.
The American action thriller film The Gray Man, directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, will also star Dhanush. The Gray Man stars Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans and Ana de Armas in the lead roles.
Dhanush has also been roped in to play the lead role in Venky Atluri, Vaathi. The film has been shot simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu. Sanyuktha Menon plays the lead actress in the film.
