PM Modi in America: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday addressed the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC and said that in India’s growth story, there are lots of opportunities for the United States. The Prime Minister appreciated the scale and pace of development in India and invited business leaders to invest in India, saying it is time and right. PM Modi said that India-US ties have laid the groundwork for businesses and now leaders, professionals have to make the most of it.

  1. The people of both the countries will benefit from the partnership between India and America. In the last 3 days, several historic steps have been taken to strengthen this partnership. PM Modi said, India and America are moving forward as the most reliable partners.
  2. The new middle class is continuously growing in India. This aspiration of the people of India is going to be the most important pivot point of the Indo-US partnership. What India is doing to meet the aspirations of this class has opened doors of new possibilities for America as well.
  3. The biggest driving force behind India’s success is the aspirations of Indians. It’s not too different from the American dream. Today, the share of private consumption in India’s GDP is the highest in the last 15 years: PM Modi
  4. It’s been four days since I came to America. In these 4 days, I met many people including President Biden. One thing that gave me confidence is the partnership between India and America. I can say with confidence that this partnership is not one of convenience but of strong belief, compassion and a shared commitment to a better future. You are the foundation of this partnership.
  5. PM Narendra Modi said, I am even more confident that our partnership can change the fate of the 21st century world.
  6. The way India has fought against Corona, it shows India’s capability. Today, in the post-pandemic world, you know the state of the economy, inflation and supply chain, but India is growing at over 7%. The Prime Minister said, at present the era of reforms is going on in India.
  7. I was eagerly looking forward to this program during my visit to America. You all are strong pillars of America’s development journey. Whether you are a Congressman, a business leader, a doctor, an engineer or a scientist – you all have brought America to this height with your hard work. You are part of the American dream. You have lived the American dream, he said.
  8. The India-US partnership is not one of convenience, the Prime Minister said, but of conviction and shared commitment to a better world.
  9. You will be happy to know how fast India is progressing… Today a new university is opening every week in India. An Atal Tinkering Lab is opening every third day in India. Every other day a new college is opening. Every day a new ITI is being established in India. Every year a new IIT and a new IIM are being established in India. The Prime Minister said that the talents of such institutions are working for the welfare of humanity.
  10. PM Modi said, we are continuously increasing capital expenditure while keeping the fiscal deficit under control.
