A Twitter user had asked Sachin Tendulkar how a fan would now know which is his real official account.

Several celebrities lost their ‘blue ticks’ on the social media platform Twitter late on Thursday night. Sachin Tendulkar, arguably the greatest cricketer in the history of the game, was one of them.

During an online question and answer session on the platform, ‘#AskSachin’, a user asked the veteran cricketer that how would a fan now know which is his real official account.

“Now that you don’t have the blue tick, how can we be sure that you are the real Sachin Tendulkar?” the user asked.

Sachin quote-tweeted: “As of now, this is my blue tick verification!”

India’s top sports stars including Sachin Tendulkar have lost the blue checkmark that helped verify their identity on micro-blogging site Twitter.
