New Delhi: The Chhattisgarh government today said it will increase the Dearness Allowance (DA) for its employees by 5 per cent, taking the total to 38 per cent. According to officials, around 3.80 lakh state government employees are expected to benefit from the increased DA. After the notification comes, it will be known when the employees will start getting the increased DA.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel announced the hike on Twitter, writing, “Cabinet meeting has decided to increase DA by 5 per cent for state government employees.” According to Baghel, this will put a burden of Rs 1000 crore on the state exchequer. ,Also read: You can earn up to Rs 75,000 per month by taking the franchise of this business,
I would like to share with all of you that today in the cabinet meeting, we have taken an important decision to increase the Dearness Allowance (DA) of the state government employees by 5%.
Due to this, the state government will have an additional financial burden of one thousand crore rupees every year.

With this increase, state government employees will now be eligible to get 33 percent DA. However, it is still 4% less than the DA given to central government employees.
