This fruit salad will keep you cool during hot summer days; read recipe

Fruits can liven up soft foods, especially salads. We all love fruits, especially berries and plums in summer. If you’re looking for ways to incorporate fruits into your summer diet, look no further. Below is a recipe for a wonderful fruit salad that can be served as a side dish or dessert. This recipe makes 6 servings.

Constituent

We have listed a few fruits, but you can add any fruit you like.

1/4 cup sugar

3 ripe nectarines or peeled peaches, cut into 1/4-inch slices

6 ripe plums, cut into 1/4-inch slices

1/2 vanilla bean, halved lengthwise and without seeds

6 ripe apricots, peeled and cut into 1/4-inch slices

1 cup pitted, halved cherries

4-5 strawberries, peeled and thinly sliced

3 bananas, peeled and cut into round pieces

Kiwi cut into small pieces and 1 cup grapes

2 tbsp finely chopped pistachios

Instruction

1. Combine sugar and 1/3 cup water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Combine vanilla bean pod and seeds in a mixing bowl. Bring to a boil to melt the sugar, simmering over low heat for another 5 minutes or until the liquid turns syrupy. Let cool to room temperature before refrigerating until cold.

2. Toss the fruit in a large serving pot. Remove the vanilla bean from the cold syrup and pour it over the fruit. Toss lightly, then top with pistachios and serve.
