This Chinese company is trying to force Apple to stop making iPhones – Times of India

As far-fetched as it may sound, a Chinese artificial intelligence company said xiao-i or officially known as Shanghai Zizen Network Technology trying to stop iPhone Production in China. it comes a few weeks ago Apple The iPhone 13 series has been launched. Xiao-i’s fight with Apple is not related to hardware patents. It claims that Apple copied something sir I The voice assistant technology and chat robot owned by Xiao-i infringed the patent.
According to a report in South China Morning Post, the company is trying to ban all devices that come with Siri from China. Now, Apple and Xiao-i have a history together. This is Xiao-i’s second attempt to ban the iPhone in China. Needless to say, the first attempt was unsuccessful. However, Xiao-i didn’t completely lose the patent battle. Apple in its reply had earlier asked the court to invalidate the patent owned by Xiao-i. But this did not happen. The court sided with Xiao-i and the patent remains valid.
If the patent is valid, it means that Apple has actually infringed Xiao-i’s patent when making Siri.
“Apple should immediately stop the infringement, remove and stop selling related products,” said Xiao-i Robot CEO Yuan Hui, as reported by the South China Morning Post.
Of course, Apple isn’t going to stop making or selling the iPhone in China — one of its biggest markets. But Apple may not want any legal trouble just before the launch of the new iPhone 13 series. The new effort by Xiao-i clearly indicates that the company is trying to pressure Apple for some kind of settlement.
