Third Kovid wave has arrived, will fight with people’s participation: MP CM Chouhan

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that there is a need to be extremely vigilant as the “third COVID-19 wave”, he has said that the pandemic has to be fought with people’s participation.

The Chief Minister also said that all necessary arrangements have been made to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Happy New Year to all the residents and countrymen of the state. In the new year #AtmaNirbharMP has to be made with new resolution, new enthusiasm and new enthusiasm. The third COVID-19 wave has to be fought with people’s participation. All necessary arrangements have been made but need to be extremely cautious,” he tweeted in Hindi and wished people across the country a Happy New Year.

Earlier on Saturday, 124 new coronavirus cases were reported in Madhya Pradesh.

Indore reported 62 cases and Bhopal 27 cases and Jabalpur eight cases.

Six cases were reported in Ujjain, four in Khargone and three each in Hoshangabad and Shahdol.

Apart from this, two cases each were reported in Narsinghpur and Ratlam, while one case each was reported in Sagar, Betul, Vidisha, Khandwa, Rajgarh, Chhindwara and Gwalior.

In the wake of rising cases of COVID-19, the Center had earlier on Saturday asked states and union territories to start construction of field or temporary hospitals to enhance the availability of health infrastructure.

“To address the potential escalation in cases, states are advised to initiate construction of field/temporary hospitals to enhance the availability of health infrastructure to ensure preparedness. This can be done in coordination with DRDO and CSIR as well as private sector, corporations, NGOs etc. This will aid in the process of faster construction of regional hospitals or temporary hospital set-ups,” Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan wrote in his letter to chief secretaries of all states and union territories.

“States may also consider availing hotel rooms and other accommodations attached to COVID dedicated hospitals in the government and private sector to cater to patients with mild to moderate symptoms of Covid-19, as has been the case in some states. Was done during the first bounce. ” she added.
