New Delhi: A 36-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly killing a bread supplier over a business rivalry. Prem Nagar area in the national capital, police said on Wednesday.
The accused Satish is a resident of Mangolpuri in outer Delhi. He said that he is earlier involved in 20 cases of theft, dacoity, attempt to murder, Arms Act.

Police said the rivalry started when victim Ram Ratan, who started supplying bread in Prem Nagar, won over Jitendra’s customers.
Angered by this, Jitendra, a bread supplier from the same area, decided to eliminate Ram Ratan as he had suffered losses in his business.
According to the police, the incident happened on May 2 when Ram Ratan had gone to a general store in Prem Nagar to supply bread. As per the plan, Jitendra had already called his brother-in-law Satish, Deshraj and Sukha there. Satish and his friend Sukha caught Ram Ratan and Jitendra inflicted several blows on him before fleeing from the spot.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rohini) Pranav Tayal said, “On Tuesday, information was received that accused Satish is hiding in Shaheed Nagar, Seemapuri. The team raided Seemapuri and arrested the accused.
He said that Satish, who was released on bail from a court in December 2020, again indulged in the crime. He was hiding in Seemapuri and not using a mobile phone since the May murder DCP said.
