The shop owner first noticed a big hole in the main wall of the shop

Surat: In Pandesara area, even the vicious thieves came prepared in true sense to steal the jewelery shop and escape. They first made a hole in the main wall to enter the shop and then camped sometime between Monday night and Tuesday morning, carrying cash and ornaments worth Rs 16 lakh through the same route.
Shop owner Nikhil Kirtikumar Shah (39) who lives in Piplod and runs his shop by the name Choksi Kirtikumar Chandulal Shah near Bhestan square.
In his complaint at Pandesara police station, Shah said that he had closed his shop on Monday night as usual, but when he returned the next morning around 9 pm, he noticed a huge hole in the main wall of the shop.
Later, he came to know that the thieves stole Rs 80,000 cash, apart from gold and silver jewelery worth Rs 15.25 lakh, from a counter.
They told the police that before escaping, the thieves also broke the CCTV cameras installed inside the shop.
