Thieves enter Archer Abhishek Verma’s parked car; Laptop theft, over Rs 1 lakh in cash

Indian archer Abhishek Verma was robbed after thieves broke into his parked car and stole his wife’s bag. The bag contained a laptop, some documents and cash worth over Rs 1 lakh. The incident is from Rohini area of Delhi. A case has been registered and Delhi Police has constituted a team to nab the culprits and investigation is on in the matter.
“My wife was on her way home from her office in the evening. She had parked her Audi car near Rohini Sector 7 or 8 for shopping. But when she returned after sometime, the window of the car was broken and the laptop bag was stolen. Gaya The laptop bag contained a laptop, some documents and over Rs 1 lakh in cash.
“Police were informed after which CCTV was checked. Around seven people were seen getting down from an e-rickshaw, who broke the window pane and stole the bag and fled,” Verma said.
According to Delhi Police, the incident took place around 7.30 pm when the archer’s wife Rohini stopped for shopping in Sector 7-8.
A police officer said, “We have seen CCTV footage in which an e-rickshaw is seen approaching the car. We have sent a team to nab the accused. The matter is being probed.”
