Corona Case Update: India has registered a steep decline in the growth of daily coronavirus infections. The country recorded 31,222 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours. 1.19% of the total cases are active cases.
The country’s recovery rate currently stands at 97.48% as 42,942 patients who recovered from the virus on Tuesday took the total recovery to 3,22,24,937.
According to the Health Ministry, India has recorded 290 deaths due to Kovid in the last 24 hours.

Kerala
Kerala detected 19,688 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, pushing the total cumulative tally to 42,27,526, the state health department said on Monday. For the first time in nearly 10 days, the number of fresh infections in the state is going below 20,000.
Apart from this, 135 more people have succumbed to the disease in Kerala, taking the death toll to 21,631. According to the health department’s bulletin, the positivity rate in the state stands at 16.71% after 1,17,823 samples were tested between Sunday and Monday.
Maharashtra
Maharashtra on Monday reported 3,626 new coronavirus cases and 37 fresh deaths, taking the number of infections to 64,89,800 and the death toll to 1,37,811.
Mumbai on Monday reported 379 new coronavirus positive cases and five deaths, taking the number of infections to 7,46,725 and the death toll to 15,998. There are now 3,771 active cases left in the city, a BMC official told PTI.
