The IMD said on Thursday that the process is getting delayed this time when the southwest monsoon completely withdraws from the whole of India as compared to the normal date of October 15, and it is still at least five days to clear. can be away.

The withdrawal of Southwest Monsoon started on 6 October as against the normal date of 17 September.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had said that unlike the process of onset of monsoon, which is very slow, the withdrawal of monsoon should not be so slow. Usually the full withdrawal of the southwest monsoon occurs on 12 October or maximum by 15 October.

“It is raining along the coast of Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Odisha and Andhra Pradesh. This has delayed the process,” IMD Director General Mrityunjay Mohapatra told IANS.

“It will take at least five days for the refund process to be completed.”

After October 12, the stage is set for the onset of Northeast Monsoon – bringing rain mostly to parts of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh. and Kerala. This time, due to the low pressure system and cyclonic circulation since last week, parts of Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka have received heavy to very heavy rainfall.
