Dumka: Police have recovered the dead body of a village watchman (Local Guard) from Jhilmili village under Shikaripada police station Dumka On Thursday, the district body was found lying in a pool of blood on the side of the road.
The deceased had wounds on his chest, identified as Sabir Ansari (45), who was stabbed repeatedly by the criminals, according to the police.
“The family members of the deceased Ansari had left the house at 9 pm on Wednesday in their uniform and their car. Dead Villagers saw the body in the morning,” said DSP Noor Mustafa, adding that his car burnt by the criminals was recovered from the spot 35 km from Nonihatwari village under Jama police station in the district from where the body was recovered.
Mustafa also said that Ansari’s alleged extramarital affair with a married woman from Gando village under Mufassil police station area is being probed to find out whether it was related to his murder or not.
Sources said that her boyfriend’s husband and his brother had beaten her up earlier also and warned of dire consequences.
