The wall of an adjacent house collapsed on the way to the housing scheme

While cutting the foundation of the house under the housing scheme, the wall of a nearby house collapsed. This tragic incident took place in Darbeshpara of Ward 17 of Dubrajpur Municipality in Birbhum district. The name of the deceased laborer is Fatik Khan. The doctors declared him brought dead when he was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Due to this incident, there is mourning in the families of the workers.

According to the police and local sources, the work of building houses under the housing scheme is going on in that area of ​​Birbhum district. Fatik Khan, a resident of Islampur Nai Para of Ward 8 of Dubrajpur Municipality, and his son-in-law Sheikh Habibullah, were laying the foundation stone of the house of Dashrath Bauri, a resident of this ward. However, while cutting the foundation at 5.30 pm today, a side wall inadvertently fell on the Phatik Khan. His son-in-law immediately rescued him by removing the broken part of the wall. Fatik Khan died on the way to Dubrajpur Rural Hospital.

Habibullah complained that he was not told that the wall in the next room was fragile. On receiving the news of this incident, the police reached the spot. Ward 17 councilor Manik Mukherjee also reached the spot. He said that the work of cutting the foundation is almost complete. Next to it was the kitchen. The wall of the kitchen was broken and the worker suffered a head injury. The body was taken to Surrey Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
